Thank you for purchasing, reading, and reviewing my books!
Hello, lovely readers!
I’ve republished Books A and B with new covers and better-edited manuscripts. I decided to go wide again after seeing surprising success on Apple Books — even though I don’t use Apple products myself! For someone who hadn’t done any advertising or marketing, earning $60 felt like a big win.
Now that I’ve also added Book C, A Chemistry at Cross Keys, along with its companion novella, Lily, to my published works, my focus is to promote, promote, promote! With the holiday season approaching, I plan to invest in paid advertising — most likely through Meta and possibly a platform like Written Word Media.
I’m also increasing my social media presence on Instagram and YouTube, while cross-posting to Facebook, Pinterest, and other platforms. My goal is to plan everything strategically so it doesn’t become overwhelming and to repurpose content in ways that still feel fresh and engaging. I’ve been exploring Adobe Express’s content calendar, but since I can’t connect it directly to my social platforms, I may choose one dedicated “marketing day” each week to schedule all my posts.
In addition to that, I have a goal of releasing my fourth book, A Diversion at Dyrham Park, by the end of the year. My long-term plan is to write twenty-six books, organized into the following romance tropes:
6 enemies-to-lovers romances (green covers)
6 friends-to-lovers romances (blue covers)
6 second-chance romances (pink covers)
6 forced-proximity romances (claret covers)
2 holiday romances (likely Christmas-themed with red and gold covers)
I’ll also publish companion novellas that match the color theme of their parent book—for example, Lily is pink because she is a side character in Book C.
I know that if I can reach the right audience, my books will sell. I don’t need millions—just enough to pay my bills and cover the costs of producing each book (editing, beta reading, etc.).
I recently entered my first BookFunnel promotion, offering my novella Lily for free. I’ve never done a promo like this before, so it will be interesting to see whether anyone reads it and helps to sell my other books. I’m proud of how Lily turned out, especially since she chose to change her own path even after I had fully plotted the story!
On the SPA Girls podcast, I heard the term “plantser,” a combination of plotter and pantser, and I realized that’s exactly how I write. I create the framework, but sometimes my characters decide they want to do something entirely different.
I plan to keep my head down, working, studying, and practicing my craft over the holidays. This is what I can see myself doing in five years, even better if I can use my profits to travel and write! I will be forever grateful for the opportunity that has been afforded to me.
Until next time…MNP xx
