I dreamt the world died today.
I looked up at the crystal blue day and saw people fall
from
the
sky;
Like angels shot down from heaven.
They fell onto the flooded streets flowing
With scarlet red blood.
The grounds shaking as if Mother Earth
Would have the last laugh.
The buildings cracked, they crumbled
And collapsed within themselves
They never should have been there
In the first place.
People screamed and birds cawed,
The sound of fear matched with the sound
Of sorrow.
I stood there, in the Garden of Eden as still
As a dry summers night.
And as I walked- the garden would follow me;
Here and there I would choose
You
And you
And you
To take to heaven,
To Utopia,
To Nirvana.
I warned you about this day, I made you stop and listen.
I gave you clear and concise instructions
Even a two year old would understand.
But now as I stand at this doorway of Eden
You still don't try to understand what you've done wrong.
And I watch life fade away
The demons lie on the filth that they have
Created because
I dreamt the world died today.
